My name is Alexa Johnson.
This is my sixth year teaching in my own classroom. Seven years ago I started as a Teacher's Aide in third grade at Troy Shorewood before becoming a long-term maternity leave substitute in the same grade and school from November until the end of the school year. I then was hired to teach third grade the following year. Right after that, I started teaching at Troy Hofer, where I've taught fourth grade for four years now. This year I will be back to teaching third grade! I am so excited to continue my career at Troy in a school with such great community from the teachers to the staff, parents, and students.
I am a 2014 University of St. Francis graduate. I have one Shetland Sheepdog, Luka, who is two years old. Every year I enjoy growing plants and watching them thrive, both indoors and outdoors.
Some of my favorite things:
Color: Any shade of blue
Pet: Dogs
Drink: Starbuck's coffee
Hobby: Reading and crocheting
Store: Target
Season: Spring
I look forward to meeting each and every one of my students. There is nothing else I could possibly do in my life that is as fulfilling to me as teaching. It is so rewarding to see my students grow and learn throughout the year!
If you ever need to contact me, you can email me at [email protected].
